Frequently asked questions

Which excavation guidelines are supported?

Currently export according to the excavation guidelines of the LWL Archaeology for Westphalia. We provide templates and exports for the guidelines of other authorities on request.

What does the extension cost and do I need the L package?

The archaeology extension requires an EveryDB account including the L package. The extension costs €1,380 per year (plus VAT).

Does documentation work offline on the dig?

Yes. EveryDB is offline-capable; captured data syncs automatically as soon as a connection is available again.

Can I get my own templates and exports?

Yes. On request we create suitable templates and exports – including for the documentation guidelines of other authorities.

Can I add my own tables and fields?

Yes. Databases created with the archaeology extension can be extended with your own tables and fields – for example, to capture additional data on the dig that isn't relevant for the guideline-compliant export. This additional data is not included in the export.
